Richard chaired a lively annual RTS music awards jury on Tuesday. The one thing everyone agreed on was the extremely high standard of entries in the Best Original Score category.

The jury doing all the hard work were: Christian Henson, Richard Jacques, James Shearman, Polly Gunning, Ross Sellwood,Robin Morrison, Nainita Desai and Nick Taylor.

Being Human has been voted Best Drama Series at the 2011 TV Choice Awards.

If like me you didn't know, the TVC Awards are voted by the Great Britsh public. What excellent taste they have.

Narrowly missing out were Glee, Misfits and Shameless.

Being Human Series 3 starts this Sunday 23rd Jauary 9.00pm on BBC3. The long wait is nearly over. Richard's series 3 score features new themes, sounds and instruments including the haunting Cristal Baschet played by French virtuoso Thomas Bloch. 

Being Human scoops Best New Programme award at the 2010 Broadcast awards.

The judges remarked that the series was 'one of the boldest, most original and exciting new drama series for some time.' Being Human was also nominated for Best International and Best Multichannel Programme.

This award follows Toby Whithouse's win at the Writer's Guild awards, where Being Human won Best TV Drama Series.

Doghouse goes straight in at no. 4 in the UK national DVD chart.
